iOS 18.3 Will Automatically Turn On Apple Intelligence, Says Apple
Apple has started rolling out the iOS 18.3 Release Candidate (RC) code to a select group of developers and public beta testers, signaling that the latest version is approaching the final stages of its testing phase. This update enhances the Apple Intelligence-powered Notification Summaries feature and Visual Intelligence on certain iPhones. Additionally, it automatically activates Apple Intelligence on iPhones that are compatible with it.
This move comes on the heels of a recent SellCell survey, which found that 73% of iPhone users felt that the new AI features offered limited value.
What's New
With this update, Apple is closing in on the rollout of its initial suite of AI functionalities. These include notification summaries, writing assistance tools, Image Playground, Siri powered by ChatGPT, and Visual Intelligence.
Moreover, iOS 18.3 introduces support for robot vacuum cleaners within the Home app and reinstates the ability to perform consecutive calculations using the equals button in the Calculator app.
Keep in mind that certain functions may not be available in all locations or on all Apple devices.
